Randy Burridge, Vice President
Randy Burridge, Vice PresidentRandy Burridge Vice President of Business Development is a former National Hockey League Left-winger Randy played over 700 NHL games for four different clubs in the 1980s and ’90s. He was at his best in Boston where his relentless forechecking and consistent work ethic suited the small confines of the Garden.

The native of Fort Erie, Ontario, played junior B with the local Meteors before joining OHL’s Peterborough Petes in 1983-84. After scoring 49 goals in 1984-85, he was chosen 157th overall by the Boston Bruins at the Entry Draft. Burridge began the next year in junior before he was summoned by the Bruins. He scored 42 points in 52 games and impressed with a +17 plus/minus rating. He spent two-thirds of the 1986-87 season with the AHL’s Moncton Golden Flames before he was ready for full time duty in the NHL.

The hard working forward thrived while forechecking in the tight corners of the Boston Garden. He was an asset on the both specialty teams and was often on the ice for critical face-offs. Burridge was also proficient in the post-season and helped Boston reach the Stanley Cup final in 1988 and 1990 and proudly captured the 7th player award and the Elizabeth C. Dufresne Trophy as Bruins home MVP.

Following the 1990-91 season, Boston traded Burridge to the Washington Capitals for Stephen Leach where he was named to the NHL All-Star team in 1992. The industrious winger was enjoying a career season with 67 points in 66 games when he was knocked out of the lineup with a serious knee injury that led to an ACL reconstruction. Burridge lost most of the 1992-93 season to injuries then bounced back with 25 goals in 1993-94. He later played for the LA Kings where he shared the roster with Hall of Famer Wayne Gretzky. Burridge then moved on to the Buffalo Sabres, helping the latter reach the second round of the playoffs in 1997. He earned the Tim Horton Memorial Award for unsung heroes and the Punch Imlach Memorial Award for dedication and leadership. He retired in 1998 after playing 30 games for Buffalo and a handful with the AHL’s Rochester Americans.
